Bruce went for a quick run today before the white stuff started flying...again. He came home and instantly plugged in his Garmin. He likes to download and track his progress. whatever.
He was so happy to show me his results:

It took me a minute to see what he'd done. It looks like a precious preschooler's artwork.
And then I saw it.
What a guy! I think I'll keep him.

Last thing the Stew Crew does on Sunday is get our stuff ready for Monday. 

Bruce was gathering everything he needed for work tomorrow...

Look at all that!  I think he's going on a well deserved holiday... or moving out.

V Day Eve

Who knew tonight I'd get a little teary eyed making Valentine's cookies? 

Owen's last year of elementary school. Our year of lasts. 

It seems like not too long ago, we were starting our year of firsts. Where did the time go?

I asked Bruce if we could adopt.

I was just a little bit serious.

So, if anyone's ever in the need of an "Aunt Amy" (related or not) to go help at school, make treats, or cut out shapes, please let me know. I'll be out of a job in September.

How was your night?

 2013; It'll still look strange for a few days. This is some of what we did on Dec 31:

went to a great family dance complete with a yummy, gooey, diabetic's nightmare ice cream bar.

Owen is SO persuasive

Owen's class has been working on written persuasive arguments. The other day I went to Parent Teacher Interviews. Had a nice chat and then got to look at his "work done" folder. Found this draft:

Doesn't have time to practice soccer or piano or watch tv?!? Oh, the first world problems my boy has to deal with!
On a side note, I'm happy to read that he does not want to mess with me!

Halloween 2012

It was a cold Halloween night this year. Haven't had one of those in a long time. But it didn't stop some crazed, candy hungry kids from getting their loot!

 Tony Stark made an appearance.

 Tons of candy bars, chips and other goodies. Thankfully, people don't buy yucky candy like the olden days (ie: when i trick or treated)

The trick or treaters of the night: Snow White, Jasmine from Aladdin, the bag of jelly bellys and the NHL lockout.
